A Marketing Campaign for the Goods of Local Farmers
Through a collaboration between the Royal Government of Cambodia and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the Accelerating Inclusive Markets for Smallholders project was initiated to support local farmers and strengthen their access to markets. As part of this initiative, TWD. was proud to contribute its expertise in digital communication and marketing to help communicate knowledge, promote local agricultural products, and connect farmers with wider audiences.
With 7 years of experience working with businesses of different sizes, as well as public and private institutions, TWD. developed a comprehensive marketing approach combining digital strategy, social media, paid advertising, and community training to support the project’s objectives.

Local farmers often face challenges in effectively promoting their products and reaching potential customers beyond their immediate communities. Limited access to digital marketing knowledge, communication resources, and effective promotional strategies can make it difficult for smallholder farmers to build awareness and create stronger market opportunities.
The project required a communication approach that could translate marketing concepts into practical and accessible knowledge for local farmers while also creating greater visibility for their agricultural products. The strategy needed to balance digital promotion with community engagement, ensuring that farmers could understand and apply the tools and techniques introduced throughout the project.
Our approach combined digital marketing strategy, creative communication, and practical community engagement:
Digital Strategy: We developed a digital marketing strategy aligned with the project’s objectives, focusing on increasing awareness of local agricultural products and creating stronger connections between farmers and potential markets.
Social Media Content: We created informative and engaging social media content designed to communicate the value of local agricultural products while making key messages accessible to a broader audience.
Meta Ads: Targeted Meta advertising was implemented to increase product visibility, reach relevant audiences, and support broader awareness of participating farmers and their goods.
Community Training: We conducted training sessions to share practical digital marketing knowledge with local farmers, helping them better understand how digital platforms and marketing tools can be used to promote their products.
The objective was to empower local farmers with practical marketing knowledge while strengthening the visibility and market potential of their products through digital channels.
The campaign provided local farmers with greater exposure to digital marketing practices and practical knowledge that could be applied to promoting their products. Through a combination of social media content, targeted advertising, and community training, the project helped create stronger awareness of locally produced goods and the opportunities available through digital platforms.
By combining TWD.’s digital marketing expertise with community-focused knowledge sharing, the initiative contributed to building greater digital capabilities among local farmers while supporting their efforts to connect with wider markets.
